A few thoughts.

I was pouring water into the Brita filter last night and I was naked (as I often am) in our brightly lit kitchen. The shades were closed so I wasn’t afraid of upsetting the neighbors but I suppose an industrious passer-by could find an opening for a curious peep show. And I thought to myself, “I don’t ever want to NOT be able to walk around in my home naked.” Can I find a way to work whenever I want to on any kind of project I’d like without In Touch going through my garbage? I wonder…

The screening for Behind The Mask went incredibly well. The audience response has continued to be shockingly enthusiastic. Fans of the slasher genre and non-fans alike are finding the film equally enjoyable. I’m biting my nails about January’s release. It could open a door for me or send me back to the drawing board. Added to the anticipation of January 9th’s release is the anticipation of our second child due on THE 5TH! Is it possible to spontaneously combust or is that just something that happens on C.S.I.?

The Next Wave.

I got an email from Carlos and I wanted to pass the word along. If you live in or around the New York area and you found yourself in front of your t.v. in the 10 o’clock hour on Wednesday feeling like, “The second season of Invasion is on!” only to be tragically reminded of the finicky favours of network programming, this message is for you:

“If you’re interested we (people from the www.saveinvasion.com forms) are trying to get at least 100 people to protest in front of ABC, in New York City, on December 1st (here’s a link to the form http://www.invasion-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2407).”

Signing the petition is great (and, yes Nadine I have) and action is better. Good luck folks.

An invitation.

First I’d like to say to my Italian friend there, I can’t save Invasion. I don’t think Superman could save Invasion, and he’s Superman! Well, maybe Superman could. Maybe I could. Okay, I’ll save Invasion.

For any L.A. area friends out there I wanted to invite you all to a screening of my film Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon. This will be the last U.S. screening of the film before our release in January. Screamfest L.A. is the premier horror festival and they have given us the closing night spot to wrap up the whole shebang. It’ll be on Saturday October 21st at 9:30 PM. Moreover the event is held at Mann’s Chinese in Hollywood! Its going to be a great crowd, a great film, a great night, and there’s bound to be a great party afterward. On top of all of that, Robert “Freddy Kruger” Englund, Zelda “Poltergeist” Rubenstein, and Scott “In Cold Blood” Wilson will all be there with the rest of the cast and the director of BTM. If you haven’t seen the film yet, this is the night to do it. But get your tickets now because its going to sell out quick. To order tickets online go to:

I hope to see you there, and please come up and say “hi”.
